Quick question, can the fuel injection system be disconnected from the loom via plug to go carburettors ?

Well the way I see it performance wise carburettors, bike carburettors then ITBs
Would be good to get rid of the factory induction set-up and have the induction away from the headers/not going over the cam covers.
Not sure if anyone has done it here but I have definitely seen that red 7MGE race car with what looks to be ITBs IIRC
