So, does anybody what I need to convert the front end from the '90 spec to '88 spec?

Do I just need the bumper, the lights and the grill or do I also need the inner metal front bumper as well?

So wait, all I would need to convert from 90spec to 88spec is the front bumper cover, the grille, the turn signals, and fog lights right?
I heard that the grille and the turn signal won't bolt up without also getting the pre89 brackets. Does this mean that I have to get the '88 front nose also (the one where the Supra emblem is mounted to)? Is there anyway I could just get the bracket from a pre89 without getting the entire front nose part?

So I do not need the inner metal bumper? Cool.
Wrong !!!!!!!!
You WILL NEED the inner metal upper nose support from an 86.5-88 if you want to use pre-89 turn signals. The metal support changed to accomodate the 89+ style signal lights.

Trust me.....+1 Please :biglaugh:

Oh and btw, Toyota calls the piece a reinforcement header. The part numbers are as follows:
1986.5-1988: 53903-14040
1989-1992: 53903-14080

Yes, Chriso is right. If you want the grills and signals to bolt on properly you'll need the big metal bumper support AND the upper header nose panel. I'm swapping my bumper and will be selling everything required. Need it?

So let me make the list again. I would need:
1) front bumper fascia
2) metal front bumper support
3) the upper nose piece where the Supra emblem is on
4) turn signals
5) Grille
6) fog lights

Am I missing anything else?

Where does the metal front bumper support go? Is it included with the nose or is it a whole seperate piece on its own that has to be bought seperately?

What I meant by the metal front bumper support is the seperate metal bumper part that is behind the front bumper cover. The front bumper cover is what you see on the outside, the metal front bumper support is what is behind it and gives it structural support.

Well, since I first post this thread, I have went a different route with the front bumper. Instead of converting from '90 to pre'89, I bought an aftermarket bumper.
