Hi.I installed my Aeromotive FPR today and i jumped the FP and B+ pins on the diagnostic port and watched the needle jump up for 50+ psi. I pulled the jumper in fear of too much pressure before the needle stopped. I tried turning in the allen screw w/o the jumper the pressure dropped a tad then when i jump it again it would shoot up. How far should i turn in the allen screw to reach about 35psi? should i be adjusting it with the jumper in place?

Isn't the jumper just a way to get the pump going without starting the engine?

Top of the AFPR is a nut, you losen it then you can adjust the pressure up/down.

And to get the right base fuel pressure for your setup you'll need a wideband to know at least your idle A/F to start. But you need the car running then.

yes. ok. with the car in the on position, the engine NOT running, FP and B+ jumpered, vac hose disconnected, FPR screw all the way out i get 50 psi. I have the 12v mod done and an mk4 tt fuel pump. am i doing this wrong or something?

Sounds fine to me, but you can turn it to whatever you want you know. 5psi, 10psi, 33psi etc whatever. For example I run like base FP of 40psi at idle but your setup may be totally different. Again having a wideband setup you will know your A/F at idle in order to set the right base pressure manually. And I would bet it's not going to be 50psi (but I could be wrong)

That seems awfully high to me... my adjustment range started much lower than that. I assume if you tighten the screw, the FP increases above 50?

yes, it increases way above 50 when i tighten. Remember, its at 50pssi when the screw is totally out and the engine off... mabye when i start it it will be different.

Battery's dead HAHA. Would this by any chance have to do with my 12v mod? I jumped the B+ and FP on the yellow plug (harness side) and the 2 pins on the resistor (harness side). Mabye i just left the dome light on.
