this goes double for those of you using aftermarket bolts or rods. Pick up a strech gauge measure your rod bolts relaxed and installed. Then torque to spec and check strech. This will ensure proper loading of the fastner and reduce the chance of failure.

If you cant pick up a strech gauge or borrow one then torque and loosen the fastner 4 times then torque to final spec.

Yep, had Bryan check everything out when he machined my motor.

A GOOD machinist will be checking all of these tolerances for you!

yes they will so ask if you are building your own then pick one up about 100-150 $
