Fog Light disassembly for 87-88

I am trying to remove the glass from my rusty beat up 87 fog lights. Has anyone done this in the past? I know I usually bake them in the oven on low for like 20min until the sealant gets hot and gooey then, they just kinda pry away.


Well, this has not been the case. I dont want to pry too much before I break the glass. If anyone has successfully rebuilt them. please link me or post your thoughts?

My internals are rusty and I think if I remove the glass I can sand and restore the lights to LIKE NEW quality.

Nevermind.. since my fogs were 24yrs old, I turned up the heat to 350*F for 20mins and the sealant finally losened up and i was able to pry the lights apart with ease. They just needed a little more heat.
