Fixing/ Upgrading Suspension?

Ok guys as it stands my car has 211xxx and some change on the chassis. My ultimate goal is to have it back to stock quality but with upgraded performance parts. So far i have new shocks, springs, sway bars, tower bars, poly bushings, and nylon subframe spacers. Ive done some "research" and read something about on 90+ cars its best to updrade to adjustable sway bar endlinks as the stock ones are plastic. Do i have all the basics covered? Is there anything im missing or should look into, as im wanting to do this once and right the first time.

Lastly i will get a new rack n pinion as mine is wore, what is a resonable price to pay for one, and if anyone has any suggestion on where to get one lmk. Any advise is appreciated as always :)

a few of the suspension arm in the rear should be replaced as well, the torque arms like to bend, and the (crap, dunno all their names), but the one that the sway bar attaches to should be upgraded as the tab is very weak...

hope that helps

2 things that make a WORLD of difference:

flush your PS system

retorque your subframe bolts (2 of them on the front of my car where FINGER TIGHT!:runaway: ) it will help a LOT with targa shimmy, and help the way the car feels.

The plastic endlinks where put there becasue toyota didn't want to upgrade the tabs ont he toe arms, so they made weaker endlinks (LAME).

You'll also need good wheels and tires, and I think you're selling yourself short by not going to a full coilover as well...

Thanks for the links, i put traction arms at the bottom of my list b/c there a little pricey and ive spent way more than i have anticipated at this point, but they are not forgoten ;) The toe kit seems highly recomended when lowering the car. I plan on running stock rims for a while for a semi-sleeper look. I know im shorting myself by not buying coilovers, when i add up the price i could almost get some meagan coilovers, but i felt coilovers might be slightly over kill as this car will be daily driven with lots of highway miles. I propobly will hardly ever see a track.

You've just about got it covered ;). Pretty much what's left is in the rear end. I'd get Supra Sport traction arms as they are the beefiest offered (if you break or bend one of those, you are doing something extremely wrong!) and then I'd top off the rest of the rear end with all A-1 hardware offered *duck down, awaiting IJ to fly in screaming about heim joints on a street driven car* ;)

That shouldn't be an issue, everything you need to adjust to make your setup right is down there already and on the A1 stuff. If you feel the need to have an adjustable traction arm, look into the A1 version, but it's not as beefy as the Suprasport one...

Thanks for the link, im not going for crazy hp, the lipp version maybe just slightly overkill ;)

I think all the a-1 stuff is right up my alley, i just need to talley up how much it will all cost me and i can set my goal :)

*edit i just remebered i talked to (dave)dbsupra and he said they had some traction arms in the works:naughty:

Good stuff - my Eibach's are on order and I'm ordering sway bars later this week. :bigthumb: Fuzz, let me know when you get all this done and you can come over and get my suspension working right!
