a bit of the gasket material peeled off when I seperated the head and the block after running it a few minutes. Im sure its still gonna seal at 60+ lbs of torque but i was thinking of using a very small amount to fill in for the lost gasket material.

Don't use FIPG on the HG...IMO, once you use a composite HG, even for a few minutes, it's toast as far as re-using it.

If you insist on reusing the HG you pulled, use a bit of the Permatex copper sealer that comes in the can and apply it to the area that pealed. In this case, I would coat the entire Fel-Pro HG with Permatex Copper Spray or Brake Quiet.

You didn't say what HG hardware you're using. Stock bolts (new), go to 75 ft/lbs....ARP bolts, go to 75 ft/lbs...ARP studs, go to 81 ft/lbs. All assume the use of moly lube.

Here's the location for the FIPG along the top of the front plate:

The top picture show the place to apply the FIPG...it's a top view and needs to go on the corners. You can also use the Permatex Copper on this.

You know what you're doing Yellow...don't forget to read each step of the TRSM so you don't miss something. And measure everything twice!

Hope it goes well for ya ;)
