Hey guys, its almost time and things are looking great. We just crossed the 60 mark for paid registrations today! We might even hit 70 Supras at the Show and Shine, this is going to be huge, you do not want to miss this meet! The weather is looking great for the weekend. Currently the forecast is calling for Mainly Sunny for all 3 days of the show, with highs ranging from 24 – 28 C.

I just called the Hampton and at the time there were still a couple rooms left for this weekend incase any of you ultra last minute people need a one.

Ok, there’s been a lot of last minute changes and updates. Pretty much all of the major threads on our forums (www.suprafest.ca) have been bumped with all of the new info. It would be best to have a look there for the full details but I’ll try and do a quicky coles version here…

Like the trophies? They are all done and look great! All trophies other then 1st and 2nd place for the Ultimate Supraman Challenge are the same size as the 3rd place USC one. We were going to go with the 2nd place size for all trophies, but the budget said no at the time we placed the order, but they are still quite nice and bigger then expected.

One of our Car Show judges had to drop out due to family commitments. Darryl Adamson has been replaced with Washington’s own Aaron Garney, owner and fabricator of the Supra only shop Rabid Chimp. Aarons intimate knowledge of mk2 and mk3 Supras compliments our Judge panel’s area of expertise nicely, welcome aboard Aaron!

We have 27 people who have said they want to dyno so we’ve extended the hours till 5:00pm and we’ve tweaked the run order rules a little. Run order is still first come first served, but the first 25 people signed up will be divided based on whether or not they’re dragging. USC contenders will have extra priority as well, but still get on the sheet asap. We’ll try and get all of the drag racers done early so they can get to the track at a good time. The bbq for this day is now covered by your registration fees!

Plan to leave between 3 and 4pm at latest from Kinetic if your going straight to the Drags. This will be a Friday afternoon on a long weekend and traffic will be nuts, plus there will be long line ups to get into the drags. Racing starts at 5:00pm. To get into the Drags if you are prepaid, you only need to tell them that at the gate and that you are part of the Supra group and then give them your name. They have been instructed to ask for one piece of picture ID so no one can steal your entry. As for scoring for this event, hang onto your time slips and show me the fastest one at the end of the night. Last, it sounds like we will have our own run group after the Imports are called up, should be interesting!

The Autocross is good to go! We have 27 paid Supra owners! If your still undecided, don’t forget about the half day option that is available, see our forums for details. Last, new info on what to do when you arrive to the autox has been posted, be sure to give that a read as well as the whole autox thread before you come. Keep in mind that you are getting 8 official runs to get your best time. If we do any fun runs (and we should), those times are not counted towards competition.

The Show and Shine will be our best attended event. The BBQ for this day is being handled by Valley Caterers and will cost at most $6cdn or $5us and includes a beef, chicken or veggie burger, drinks and a side. If we get enough registrations, it could be even cheaper. Check the Show and Shine thread for details about how the voting system for the car show trophies works.

As for Saturday evening, we have a thread on our forums now listing all your options, including fireworks and a couple parties some locals are putting on.

And that’s it, we’ll see you all this weekend for the biggest Supra meet in the north west of America yet!

Please post any feedback you have, suggestions, issues etc. I'm particularly interested in what people thought of the new things we did this year like the Autox and having concourse judges.
