Taking a closer look at my mk3, I notice rust in the spare tire wheel well, driver's door out of adjustment, and sunroof not giving me enough clearance. What's the best way to remove the rust in the spare tire well? Any way to adjust the door to close nice and smoothly? I've thought about removing the dealer installed sunroof because as of now, my head easily touches the ceiling of the car and I don't even have a headliner, so what solutions would I have to fix that problem? If removing the sunroof assembly, how do you do it?

Rust solution: Is it just surface rust or has it eaten through the metal? If it's just surface, sand it down till the rust is gone. Then I've seen some people get that roll on bedliner and put that down. I've been thinking about doing it myself. Also, you might want to find out where it's leaking. Probably either the hatch seal or a tail light seal.

Adjusting the door: Go to where the door hinges are and use some shims on either the top hing or the bottom hing depending where you're door is off by.

Sunroof problem: Adjust your seat all the way down or just do a gangsta lean.
