Im Just about to finish my build of:

7m-GTE:
Toga Bearings
Fully balanced
Shot peend rods
Knife edged crank
JE +.40 pistons
Stage 2 cams (272)
New valves etc
Ajustable cam gears
Unordox Pulley
Solid mounts
EGR Removed
Fidanza Flywheel
6puck clutch

I want to hit 500wrhp....

Would you agree with a HKS 2.0mm Bead headgasket?

Also are the bolt on intercoolers going to be any good? or do I need to go FMIC with a FFIM?

Many Thanks for your help in advance!

Regards

Just so you know, those mods arent gonna give you 500whp. It may give you the foundation for those numbers but without a bigger turbo and more fuel, it wont happen.

Just want somone to confirm H/g is going to be the right choice & If I can run a bolt on Intercooler

If you are using the Unordox Pulley on the crank then i would go back to stock pulley, Unordox Pulley is not a dampener = Bad vibrations.

Have a look at the Spearco IC on driftmotion - cheap and will do a far better job than the stock one IMHO.

I was going to ask - how come you're going for .40 oversize? Is your block that bad?

As for the turbo - well....how about a 57trim CT26 to start off with, shim the wastegate (or get an electronic boost controller) to 12/13psi with the Lexus AFM and 550's - see what numbers you get. Obviously, cause you're in the UK (like me), theres no requirement for the catalytic converter, so if you get a full 2.5" or 3" back system with a new turbo elbow or downpipe, you'll see much faster spool as well.

Once you've done that - rolling road it. Theres a place not far from Bedford, round the M25 near the M40 interchange, place in Uxbridge called Power Engineering - they charge £45 for a dyno run last time i checked.

You *should* be making at least 350rwhp with those mods. Your block can certainly handle it! :)

I was on the understanding the bigger the pistons the better....

Haha 350hp is no way enough.... Need to have 450.. at the very minimum! Already Running a c26 hybrid & Mongoose full system with no Cats

No - you should always go for the smallest overbore you can get away with - these engines dont really give any gain if you overbore them.

If you're running a hybrid and full turbo back exhaust, with those mods and the boost turn up, you should see more than that as i was under the assumption you were still running the stock tubbie. However, to get the most out of your setup you really should think about a turbo like the SP61GT or Garrett T4. Bondango should be able to sort you out with a T4 ;)

And if you get rid of your CT26 - i've got notes waitin :D
