Hey,

I've got a '92 Supra now with a few issues.

The engine was overhauled by a private guy for about 3-4 yrs /20.000km ago, however the owner of the car was not completely satisfied and the guy didn't list what he did(most likely pistons, hg, rods, valves etc etc). The problems have gradually envolved.

Spec:
  • ARP studs
    Metal HG
    3" downpipe
    Greddy boost controller(@0,8)
Other then those things.. completely originale.

Issues:
  • -It uses about 1 litre oil per 1000km's.
-It bubbles in overflow tank, it uses some coolant.
-If you drive it calmly then it is fine, but if you tend to accelerate out of corners, then it starts yanking/pulling strange when you get some boost, at worst it seems like 1-2 cylinders are lost under acceleration.

So far what I'm thinking of doing: Change plugs, thermostat, radiator cap, diconnect boost controller, block test. After that then HG change and get mechanic to check engine out.

At the moment I am looking for tips and all help to what can cause these problems.

All help is much appreciated!

Before you start spending on parts that might not be needed, Why not do a block test, comp test, coolant pressure check, and hell even a leak down test and find out what is wrong.
