Hi guys, I'm still a noob still. Currently I just got my 2jz-get running with 7m electronics. I have HKS MHG, ARP head studs, and an ebay turbo kit. I've got everything running so far, and I'm waiting on my boost gauge (stock one doesn't work).
I ran into a few issues with the knock sensors and stuff but I've gotten them taken care of now. So finally I take her down the road (with no codes) and went WOT. At around 4500 she'll spit and sputter and flash the CEL. I'll let off, and the CEL will go away.
If I ease her into the 4500-5500 and go WOT she'll spit and sputter and the CEL will come on.
Is this fuel cut? Or do you think it's worse; detenation? Hopefully my Zeitronix still works and I'll wire that up temporary just to see what kind of AFR's i'm seeing. Fuel wise it's all stock 7m-gte, with the exception of an AFPR (currently set at fifty just to be on the safe side).
On the fuel side; my walboro should be in tomorrow (hopefully) I'm still debating on safc or emanage blue, (I can get both, but the blue doesn't have the support tool), and I have a Lexus AFM. I don't have the cash for 550's yet, so AFM will wait (I might just stick it on and screw the screw all the way in, can anyone confirm this?).
Also can someone chime in on the "J pipe" bypass? I've searched on it today for a bit (was more worried on FCO or detenation) on it, but it's still a bit on the hazy side to say the least.
Sorry got side track; what do you guys think? Does it sound like fuel cut? If it is, what should I do? No matter what I do on fuel (turn the AFPR up; put the piggyback on) I should still have FC right? It's an issue with the maf correct?
Is there a way to run just the lexus AFM (and hopefully my wide band o2 still works, guess I'll find out tomorrow) without injectors to see if it's just fuel cut? I read somewhere about turning the screw on the lexus AFM all the way in. I know about the risk of doing this without injectors, but I'll have my fuel pump and my zeitronix, I just want confirmation that it is FCO. So if it isn't FCO I can continue to diagnosis my car.
Many thanks guys
