I wanted to know how compatible the factory alarms are from newer toyota/lexus cars that have the fobs and the simple beep for unlock and lock and if they will work in pre89 mk3's. Instead of a horn or chearp which are very annoying to me... i wanted to make it sound like all the newer sc's, avalons camrys ect. would it be difficult to mod that kind of thing out of a wrecked 00+ celica or even a mk4 supra if it had it or another car with it so i can program toyota fobs and all?

I was also lookin into the viper and zenesis aftermarket alarms if anyone wants to give their reviews on their experiences with them.

It appears you're talking more about keyless entry than theft deterrent even though they usually talk to each other. That said, assuming the newer device isn't networked (CAN-bus, et al), there's no reason later Toyota (or even other make and model) things can't be integrated into your car. As long as you understand how it works and the receiving car's schematic it's no different than installing any aftermarket device.
