expensive manual?

went to the local dealership today, asked for a tsrm for my 89 and the guy said itd be around 75 bucks for 'volume 3: chassis and electrical' or something like that. is this right, cause it seemed outrageous

Depends what you're looking for. If you want just the electrical diagrams, get the TEWD book, it's $15.

For the actual repair manual, it's gonna be much more.

Try looking on eBay, I don't know if its the same for cars as it is trucks...but I bought a FSM for my toyota truck and it was only 50 dollars after shipping...just something to consider.

nah, with all due respect, screw that. i dont mind shelling out 75 or so for the manual, i just needed to make sure that was the right one i needed. besides, $75 is more than worth it for a nice quality tsrm thatll help me fix more than $75 in the long run.

The paperback version pays for itself when you're greasy and all you have to do is wipe your fingers off enough not to stain the pages instead of full wash and go inside to look.

Time to get a computer in the garage! :)

I like having both a hardcopy and electronic copy. Makes things nice and easy for any time you need to look something up.
