exhaust sound..?

usually, when i drive, i get a pinging sound between 2-3K, which is very annoying.

i have a 7mge, with 2 and a quarter inch mandrel bent piping from the cat back, with a magnaflow muffler.

i use 91 oct religiously. it sounds very farty and poppy when the car is cold. and even when its warmed up, when i step on it, i can hear it.

would a resinator get rid of the noise?

I get it too. I think it's normal without a resonator. I'd just get used to it.
