What does a long stroke have to do with oil starvation? Are you going to answer it?

How about that Ford GT. 3.5 inch bore, 4.2 inch stroke, and it makes power to 7000 rpm, with the rev limit removed. So explain that long stroke oil starvation problem please.

How is a long stroke undurable? The most durable engines built are small bore, long stroke engines.

When is the last time you saw an oversquare engine last a million miles?

That isn't actaully the reason, but over and under square is not relevant to this thread. Oversquare is done for two reasons. One to unshroud the valves, the other to lower piston speed above 10,000 rpm or so.
