so pretty soon here im going to be pulling my 89 engine and swapping it into my 88, im not sure which engine mounts are currently in the 89 but i have these extra ones that came with, i havent seen any brackets like these before?

Square mounts are pre 89 round mounts are 89+. Looks like the mounts are the right ones for the 88 not sure about the brackets. If they are supra brackets and mounts then you have the ones you need. Pre89
i know they are the right mounts, im just confused about those brackets they are on because it doesnt look like they fit anywhere in my 88. if i take them off the brackets it looks like they could probably slide right into the slots in the car though

yea, put the 88 brackets on the 89 engine. I have both the new & old blocks & both have the same bolt pattern for the brackets regardless of age made.
They are two different things motor mounts, and brackets. Mounts being the rubber and the brackets being the metal part.
