My brother just bought a car from a guy in Florida, and we are thinking may be there could have been some flood damage. It's doesn't really look like it but I'm just wondering. We just bought a shell really. My question is this; If water did get to the wiring behind the dash, what can we do about it? Would in be ruined or is it fixable? If it can't be fixed would swapping the entire harness behind the dash possibly fix it. Also if there is a short would it just be something that didn't work or is it all or nothing?

As always, thanks.

You can take the harness apart and clean it. Too tedious for me. Why do you think he ditched it(the car).

And you could have muddy water inside the insulation, if the weather protectors are dry rotted.

yeah, I think I may just buy him a new shell and start over. This motor was shot. We were told it had a BHG but it was more than that!

when we drained the oil about a gallon of water cam rushing out.

Did you look at the 100 amp fusable link?
I think you are right I unbolted the fuse box and underneath the wires running to the 100amp are messed up!!!

Next question. How do you replace the fuse box safely?
Some of the wire underneath are messed up.

Would the 100amp keep the power seats and windows from working?
