Hello All,
This is going to be a newbie posting thread regarding an electrical problem.
90 Turbo, 5 Speed. Had the car up on some ramps today to replace motor mounts, car was running fine. Swapped the mounts in, go to start the car, have power, no starter. Anyone have any tip or where to start looking.

I'd appreciate any help, brain kinda fried tonight.

Joe

check the starter? what did u remove or wiggle to change out those mounts?

Yeah we're looking at the starter area now to see if its just a bad cable. We lifted up on the bellhousing area/trans for the mounts. Nothing else moved or got pulled as far as we can tell.

The Starter Relay clicks but doesnt start, so I know we're getting power to atleast that point.

Fixed. Little brown clip on starter came off, extremely loose fitting right now so atleast that solved the issue.

Thanks guys.

yeah thats the 12v postive lead from the ignition switch that move's the soleniod to do the cranking..

glade you found it, i was going to reccomend that wire or check for loose batterie cables at the batt and at the starter/block. i tend to forget to tighten the block ground and have problems starting when i put my motor back in often..
