egr removal?

EGR was put on engines to help with exhaust. What it does is recycle exhaust back into the engine. It routes from the manifold back into the engine as a way of recycling. I cut my EGR off of my probe

and welded it shut on the actual engine and this was the outcome

not that you can see it... but well I failed NOx... (not that you asked what an EGR is for, but it does nothing more then prevent bad emissions. (in most cases)

That emission trace should be stickied and locked. You have to understand what EGR is doing to comment on what the outcome is. It puts the inert exhaust back in the intake, causing the engine to not run quite as well during cruise. This lowers combustion temperatures, lowering NOx. On US models, the timing is advanced to make up some of the deficit.
