Ok I bout the pos and yes that's her new name haha thank you jj. But there is a e fan in the front of the radiator and it's all wired into the wire harness like it's stock. Brackets even piping for a/c are routed for it. Is this normal and could it possible be stock?

Here's the fan I was talking about. this is in front of the radiator, inside the bumper. it's about 12"-13" inches across.

Yes, Pretty much they wouldn't have put it there if it wasn't needed.. MY 88 did not come with one however and even with a brand new fan and clutch my A/C blew hot and the motor bogged down when the compressor came on on stop lights and idle (It is usually 110-115F during the summer).. I got rid of my clutch fan and went electric due to mine not having a front condenser fan..

Redacted per Title 18 USC Section 798
JS: Unless you mod the wiring that fan comes on only when high side pressure or coolant temp is excessive and the key is on. Due to the engine fan pulling air through the rad and condensor that shouldn't happen but I suppose it could in Devin's climate.

Fwiw I had an audible alarm connected to the coolant switch running that fan and in all the years I had my car it never once went off. Not even in the desert. My car wasn't a POS though ;)

Well, if you're keeping the AC it needs to stay. Or if you want to mod it for cooling. For example mine came on as needed after shutdown.

edit: Beaten by Devin except he's sort of wrong ;)

Listen to Jetjock, he helped me learn how to fish for myself. I would have never guessed the air from my clutch fan would stall my engine and he told me about it, and after months of trying to fix it, he was right. One member on here who I respect for their knowledge.
