e brake light comes on dim

recently the e brake light has been coming on and im not really sure why

e brake is off and the light will come on but only dim not fully lit like when the e brake is engaged

this happens even when the dash lights are off so i know its not coming from the other lights

brake fluid is full cold and hot is there anything else i could check other then codes? (fluid level censor bad?)

and tonight i noticed it went off by the time i got home but i dont think it has the other times

Unplug your fluid level switch and see if it goes away, if not, unplug your ebrake switch and see if it goes away. If one of the switches is shorted it could cause that. Besides that, a short to ground anywhere on the ground side of the bulb could cause the light to come on.

Does your charge/battery light do the same thing or light up at all with the engine running?

i'll try unplugging the two things one at a time and go from there

no the charge battery light does not come on

Float could be stuck, or could have lost it's buoyancy (i.e. it stops floating and send the signal)

I have a 1991 Supra Turbo and I've got the same problem. Were you able to fix it? My Turbo timer hand brake safety will not shut off the car due to it becoming dim instead of going off.
