as soon as i get 400 bucks im droping in a na/2jz...all i need now is a 2j-w58 bellhousing and flywheel.:sarcasm::biglaugh: .what i wanted to know is how long will the w58 last after bpu?

ugh.... man ill tell you, but just letting you know i just posted about transmissions in a specific transmission thread..
w58 isn't meant for forced induction or any HP above 300.

If you get turbo'd and drive like i do, i wouldn't expect it to last too incredibly long.

After BPU on an NA 2JZ? You're not talking earth shattering power here, the W58 should hold up just fine. Are you going NA-T?

Again though my information is correct... after 300 is pushing it, but in N/A case.. you should be good to go.

its gona cost me my veilside rims and 2j-w58 bellhousing and flywheel about 1400 in the end cause i paid 900 for the wheels about 350 for the bellhousing and another 100-200 4 the flywheel . they are droppin it in for me

The amount of torque thrown at the w58 is what is going to bring it down. Maybe that's why I've seen it on some 1j builds, :sarcasm:

I'm hoping that you'd switch to a r154 instead of making a built w58 if you decide to go bigger.
