Well to start off, am not sure if am just loosing my mind or if it is a problem. So i figured i would ask some supra owners about this.

problem:
when i'll be driving around 40-50ish and i'll hear a roaring type noise, like very faint. nobody hears it but me for some reason. And so i jacked up the car and checked my wheel bearings and the LR wobbled a little bit so i replaced both side wheel bearings and axles while am there.

Still got my same problem? I dunno what the deal is? Have you guys encountered the same problem or what some weak links in the rear causing this?

And i don't think its a tire issue but i'll be switching rims/tires so that could fix it, i dunno:aigo:

You'll be suprised some newer model caddy's do it all the time especially CTS; its a possibility not saying it is my problem. Oh well, thanks everybody for the input and all.

Dude - GM Synchromesh is a transmission oil...specifically for the GM TKO 500 & TKO 600 manual transmissions. It might be ok for the R154, but it IS NOT for an LSD. It does not have the friction modifiers required for the LSD to operate correctly.

You need to get that out of the LSD...like now!

I have heard bearings that were bad make what the customer called a roaring sound.

But a broken tooth, or more likely incorrect backlash is a siren sound. In fact, that is what old sirens are, is gears with a gap built in. A broken tooth can be noisy though.
