Drilling/tapping an IC??

Just curious if it could be done w/o it leaking. W/ the way I'm mounting it now, I don't need to (I don't think) but I argued w/ my dad for 15 minutes about it. Just curious who was right. I said 'no', for the record.

Obviously if I did I would use a thread sealer of some sort... Not sure what would work best though.

It's not a stock IC, but a nice thick aluminum one similar to the Sparco (w/o the mounts...

make/weld up some brackets.i make like an open "P" and use some rubber in between for some cushion when putting in a rad.

The best way is to weld a bung on the IC. I would use teflon tape on what screws in it.

I think if I was going to weld anything on, I'd just weld on a bracket so theres a much greater chance that it wouldn't leak... Thanks for all the input though
