Is there any reason to not use the stock toyota "accordian" turbo inlet hose? The one from the AFM to the turbo. I have seen silicone, alum, etc and done a bunch of searching, but still don't think I have a good grasp on it. Thanks

It might, being a smoother tube/pipe it would cause less turbulence entering the the compressor.
But you wont really notice a difference.

Ok. My current OEM pipe is cracked all to pieces and a new one from toyota is $41, which I have no problem replacing it OEM, just curious if anyone had seen performance gains from one of the aftermarket ones. Thanks for the replies.
