dipstick length? please.

I'd sure appreciate it if someone knows how long, or could measure their dipstick and tell me the length of the damn thing.

I busted mine accidentally (where it's pop rivited to the little grab handle) last night, and set it on the curb in front of my house. I forgot to take it into the garage to fix it and lo and behold this morning it's gone.

Probably one of the local little kids is useing at a sword or something.
