Since so many things effect lambda, since you don't have test results, and since I'm unaware of the type test used you're not asking for much are you? ;). See the current thread about running rich and look at your OX signal. Generally speaking if it's switching with an average of 450 millivolts and the catalyst is good (assuming you have one over there) the car should pass.

Yeah, I didn't want to ask much, just threw the question up, with some hope maybe :D
No cat here :) Other numbers were actually good. They tried stuffing the exhaust, so that it would cause more pressure etcetc, nothing... Still same lambda.
But ok, thanks anyways, next time I'll know and write the numbers down. If ofcourse there will still be problems after some tune-up:biglaugh:

Mendoza, try this: Connect the hose going to the EGR valve directly to the intake manifold. The engine should run rough or even die. If so that means your EGR valve is working. Test the VSV by pulling the line coming from it and seeing if there's vacuum. Make sure the engine is warm when you do it. That'll just leave the modulator in question.

Valge: Sorry guy, not much to go on. Nice country btw, been there once. Fine looking women ;)

Was in Latvia at the time and decide to visit with a friend. Been to most of that part of the world. My wife is Ukrainian, I have a summer home and business there. Spent a lot of time in Russia too. I'm somewhat fond of that part of the world. In many ways the people and culture put America to shame.

Too expensive....And not so ''cool''. In Germany, young students drive old nice VW-s, but ours.. noooo, we have to buy like BMW 7 from 1995 or smt...And then streetrace :)
http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/Estonia Something on religion part, though that point towards police, but still :D
Oh, found something.... ''Rullnokad (ass-wipes, who are speeding with their 15 year old cars. They are the biggest risk group in Estonia) ''
That is kinda.... the year before last year :D Now there's new league

No comment but assuming that were true I assure you it would not be the typical type of thing many people have heard about. International introduction is a sorry-ass business in many respects. I met my wife while working at Chornobyl. That said there's no question EE women are some of the finest in the world. Course, I'm a bit biased.

Lol, wtf? Is that a 7MGE auto ecu running a 2j N/A motor? I dunno whether to shake my head or nod it in admiration. Off the top of my head I agree with Dirgle in that it should work if wired right but I still have to wonder about some things. Does it run OK?

yea i was in shock too i was hoping the car would have had some type of different ECU & then i was like wtf? lol but to my suprise the motor cranks & idles smooth. Check the video from streetfire in my sig. i have a video if it running (not driving type because the tranny is busted), but it does run really rich but i think I've traced that down to a fuel injector problem (7m ECU thinks its running the 7M injectors and im running 2J fuel injectors)

what things are you wondering about lol? hopefully not things that might kill me in the process :p
so what is my car like the first to run off a 7m ECU or something?

That's funny. I'm not that familiar with the 2j so I don't know what kind of crank angle signals it uses, injection configuration, stuff like that. Still, it's a Toyota and if one looks at the ECU as simply a controller and wires it up right using compatible input signals and output actuators it should run just about any engine as long as fuel and injector sizing is correct. I wonder about the ignition timing map though. You'd need a mess of test gear to know for sure but I'm not surprised it runs.

Well im glad nothing sounds wrong but what should i do about the Ignition Timing map? like i know i'd never be able to do that but you think like there's people that could do that for me :p?
