Ok so i know where a 87 NA Supra Maroon on Maroon is, hardtop, 5spd, body is straight for $1000. Now from what i understood from the guy(barely spoke english) it has a BHG, i could probably get him down to $750. My question is, i have been gettin ready to do a 5spd swap, and i have almost always regretted gutting my interior, should i buy this and swap motors? with a good clutch, and good fluids how long is a W58 going to stand abuse(mods in sig). And 87's came with 4.30lsd's correct? Plus a NA Hardtop is going to be better for what i am doing with the car(street machine, touge runs). PLus it would be a good opportunity for me to get my AC back.

change body's yes but my 89 7MGTE into a 87 shell, i dont mind the different look of the tailights like some or front bumper, plus this one already has a lip on it to.

W58 is good for 400whp, but a gentile 400whp. No clutch dropping, no slamming gears. Pretend you're driving a DSM. That's all.

It doesn't realy make sense to me that you would swap a motor into body that you realy cant be sure of. You dont know how many other problems there are with it. All because you dont want to take apart your interior? Besides, youll have to take some of your interior apart to replace the ECU and guage cluster to do the swap.

But if you decide to do it anyway, I would suggest buying the N/A and building it up from the ground the way you want it, with a R-154. Take your time and drive your car untill you have the N/A all ready to just swap motors. Then just make the switcharoo
