ok so after a few months of deliberation post blowing up my motor and being tempted to part it out and sell it all, i talked myself into keeping the one jay. i pulled the motor and then the head, and piston number five was completely melted.
i've aquired a new semi complete 2jzgte motor and will use it to rebuild the one jay. the block was disassembled by a toyota dealer tech, but he thought it would be a good idea to try and "clean up" the pistons by sanding down the surface. well he sanded off the coating and now they are trash, according to the machine shop, so i need new pistions.
he also took apart the head without labeling where each valve, spring, bucket, etc came from, so the head is useless to me. so i'm using the head off my 1j and building a 1.5jz now.

so what do i need and where do i get the parts to rebuild a 1.5jz? i know i need pistons, rings, rod bearings, main bearings, rod bolts, main bolts, 2j head gasket, 2j timing belt... what else am i missing? and where do i get these parts?
