cyl 2 no spark

i just got my supra a couple of weeks ago an im trying to figure out its running problems. the issue i am facing now is in cylinder 2 i crank the engine over i get one weak spark and no more sparks after that all other cylinders spark fine i tested the coils and primary ign test is good, ground test is good, but on the secondary ign test none of the coils show any resistance between the ign+ and plug wire terminal for that coil i tested all 3 coils so i could compare results with the 2,5 coil (one i am having problems with)

i dont want to replace the coil unless i know its bad its $80 and 3 days away any idea why my secondary ign test is not working for me?

Hi, Don't know the exact answer to your questions however I'd like to point out that it's always a good thing to at least inform people about the errors your ecu reports if any.

Did you test the resistance if the coil itself and is it within spec?

the resistance if the coil itself is the problem im having (between the spark plug wire connection and the plug terminal on the coil i am not getting a reading at all. im not getting a reading on any of the coils. i will pull codes as soon as i get a chance and post them. honestly i didnt even think about the codes helping lol

im not sure what i was thinking but i cant pull codes because i dont have a battery for the car right now and the car wont run.

i get power to the car by using jumper cables. i guess i what i need is to find someone near me who has a coil pack i can borrow for a few mins.

So cylinder 2 gets no spark but cylinder 5 continuously gets a strong spark? How are you testing for spark? You must make sure cylinder 5 plug is in and the wire is attached when you are testing cylinder 2.

i have spark plug i am puting in the end of the spark plug wire so i can see spark and #2 is the only one i am having trouble with all other cylinders are great
