Crooked Hatch

I hope this is the right place to post...

I have a problem with my hatch. It shakes while driving. It doesnt open smoothly... I have to push it open. and close up you can see that it doesnt sit flush with the opening.

What tips can i got to fix it. hardware, etc... Would be appreciated.:1zhelp:

There are two hinges that hold the hatch to the body on the underside of the top of the glass. Each hinge has two bolts (10mm, I think).

They may be loose like already stated, so check those.

OK, I hate to hijack but my car has the same damn problem. The hatch rests ALL the way to the left and there is a huge gap on the right. The previous owner wrecked it and that was the outcome. would the hatch hinges be bent or would the whole damn hatch frame off been knocked out of whack?

If it was in a wreck then the chassis might be bent. You might be able to adjust it by lowering one side or raising the other, which ever works out (if you can) to kind of make up for the bend.

There are also rubber stoppers on each side of the hatch. They could be missing causing the hatch to sit lower than it should be?

I looked at the rubber stoppers... one is bigger than the other.... How big is it supposed to be? I can cut the longer one....??? any suggestions? before I do cut it.
