please give a better description of the problem other than erratic idle...
How long have you had the car?
Did this problem just start?
What exactly is happening?
Have you check the codes?
Any work recently done on the car?
etc

It aint reading any codes, I have had it for about a month. Just put on a aftermarket fmic and hardpipes. I checked for boost leaks and vacuum leaks and i dont have any. So????? I bought the car without a ic or pipes, so its been doing it since i got it running.

How did you check for leaks? Did you do a tune up as soon as you got it?

Now it idles fine but it wont go, it cuts out and the turbo spools out but dont go hardly??? And black smoke is coming out the exaust. When it was idleing weird it would rev up to 2000 then down to 1000 then back up.

Ok so you jumpered the terminals in the diagnostic port per TSRM and didn't show any codes??? Turbo spools how? Actually showing any boost on your gauge? Black smoke running rich boost leak somewhere? Check all clamps and connections again. If all are tight buy or build a boost leak detector. A number of things could be wrong here. Check the small piece of rubber that goes between the 3000 pipe and the throttle body mine was cracked and my car ran like shit. Idled weird and the turbo spooled and showed boost but my car went no-where fast.

That sounds like my problem. How do i build a boost leak detector? I retightened my clamps, and now it builds boost at first then cuts out and spudders.

Well to be honest I've never built one as my leaks all were obvious where they were coming from. The hoses running from the intake hose also need to be checked as one of them may be split and causing the problem also. Search on here for a boost leak detector and I'm sure there is a few threads on how to make one from pvc fittings. Cut out and sputters? Your not hitting boost cut are you? Check engine light will flash on for a moment when you hit boost cut. Other than that check for boost leaks.
EDIT* look under tech tips section there is a write up there.

It's possible. When the ECU detects a lean condition it will cut off all fuel and it feels like your engine completely shut off. It's very hard on all engine components. You can also hit it by running too much boost. I think it'll hit boost cut around 12 or 13psi. I hit boost cut at 12psi without an exhaust but now that I have 3inch exhaust and elbow I hit it around 9psi. Not real sure why I guess just extra air flow. I need to get a tranny in it and get it tuned. If you hit boost cut you'll know it cus the check engine light will flash on and it'll feel like your motor stopped running. Confirm you have no boost leaks and then let us know if you still have the same problem.
