cracks in WG housing?

It depends where.. but.. probably nothing.. if its the lower housing after the valve... will just leak in the engine bay rather then out the dump tube

Small cracks have been found to do nothing but be an eyesore.
Large cracks can actually bleed exhaust and pressure past the wastegate door causing a laggy turbo.

that crack isnt bad. While we are on the subject, what material is the exhaust housing made of? Mild steel?

while ive seen a few turbos that had cracks like that that didnt seem to have an effect on turbo spool and overall boost pressure, i think over time those will only get worse and it WILL have an effect on performance.
