My car is down right now due to an unfortunate DP issue. I thought while I wait for my new one to come in I would fix my CPS, as it is getting bad here recently. I searched but haven't found everything that I need. I have pulled the CPS out and the harness is Very Bad! It is also so discolored it's hard to tell what is what. I can tell the red and green wires barely but, the one that is connected to all 3 sensors and the single one connected to the lower sensor both look like the same color and I need to know which one is the yellow and which one is white.

Also I found a thread that said: green cps goes to red on car, red cps goes to blue on car, white to white and, yellow to yellow. If that is correct or wrong please inform me!

The plug on both ends is all broken and falling apart. I am thinking of using a radio harness or something like that to do the connection to the E-harness. Or would I be better off using some high quality single connecters? Any sudgestions would be great!

Cliffs:
1. CPS wires... is yellow or white the one that connects to all 3 sensors?

2. Blue-Red, Red-Green, White-White, Yellow-Yellow...is that correct?

3. Plug on both sides is falling apart! What would you use?

Many thanks in advance!:icon_razz

I tried the tsrm but I need to know the internal cps wires. I am redoing all the wires from the source to the harness. I dont have a wire diagram that shows that.

....surely someone has gone in this far before, not just replaced the plug...guess I will figure it out...:aigo:

I'm using 18ga wire and a sodering iron on the internals and I guess I will use seperate connecters so if I screw up I can just switch them around assuming that won't fubar my cps.:1zhelp:

inside the CPS?

Same thing as the wires that are on the plug, CPS side.

If you mean to take them out and replace them. Not happening. They are integrated into each of the three inductance coils used for signal pickup.

yup, I know. I was going to cut each wire about a inch or so off each coil and solder and heat shrink each wire then re-install. A bit overkill but, cheeper than a new cps from Toyota!

The wires change color from e-harness to CPS wires...Very stupid IMHO.. cps wires should be the same damn color! But I figured it out as the one yellow connecting all three must be common ground (black on my car harness). The new harness I made is color corrected to match the E-Harness so I won't mix them up. Seems to be working fine so far no codes. Thanks for all your help guys!

So what if the wires are not the same color. The EWD pinout shows exactly where G1, G2, and Ne are. Just make sure you get the EWD for your year, even though there are very little changes most years.
