CPS Cleaning question

I used some CRC electronics cleaner to clean my CPS, is there something else I can spray in there afterwards that will help protect it? Someone told me to spray some WD40 in there to lubricate stuff and keep things from drying up. Is that a good thing to do? Is it preferable that it stays dry and clean under the CPS cover?
