OK, last night I drove home from work, which isnt even far enough for the car to fully warm up. I got back in it about 20 mins later and drove back to work for a minute, and when I was going back home, it started running hot. When I got home I checked the coolant and the overflow was full and had shot some out on the way home. When I went to work this morning I changed the thermostat and filled and burped it. But now Im starting to hear a ticking noise that gets a little louder as the car warms up. Also, my pcv pipe has a milky water/oil looking sludge in it, but my oil is fine. Im going to take the intake mani off tomorrow and look around a bit but does anyone know offhand if these might be connected or is it just 2 minor things at once? Just so you know, I put a jdm engine in about 4000 miles ago and so far this is the only prob ive had. Oh yea 1 more thing, It seems there is little to no vacuum at idle, not even enough to open the heater valve until about 2000 rpm. Any clues?

If you have access to a smoke machine, smoke the vacuum system. Sounds like it might have a leak somewhere.

As for the milky sludge in the pcv, could be condensation. I'd worry about it if its in the oil fill cap as well, though.

Ticking noise could be injectors or valve lash. "Normal" noises may seem a bit louder now that you've gotten a little scare in ya ;) I'd check it with a stethoscope just to be certain.
