i didnt feel that any of these questions were worth their own thread so i am condensing it into one

1. For those with Oil Temp gauges what temp are you at after long runs with WOT(road course, twistys, track runs)

2. I am gettin my A340E rebuilt here in a couple weeks and need to know what rpm stall coverter to put in, i am running Shimmed CT26 now but will shortly be upgrading to the 935Motorsports Street Upgrade CT26 and trying to achieve 350-400hp, it is my daily driver and i am a weekend racer/spirited street driver.

3.things i need to be aware of/do before i go on a long road trip, then dyno and track runs the next day......

4. Are there any vacuum caps involved in blockin off the EGR or just the 2 block off plates? and blocking the EGR is going to bring on my Check Engine light isnt it?

5. What would cause a loss of P/S for like 5 min then it comes back when i get on it real hard?

Most engineers seem to design OEM oil cooing systems to run 180-200 degrees. Too cold isn't any good, just like overheated oil. I know that isn't exactly what you asked, but I think it anwers what you are wondering.

Well, it actually depends on how that turbo spools. The maker of the converter, or IPT or whoever will best give you that info. The more torque you put into the converter, the more multiplication you get.

If you block the EGR on a California car, it will trigger the MIL(malfunction indicator lamp) aka check engine light. Federal statute does not require it. Yes, you will have to block vacuum. You do realize this is only cosmetic. Unless you run standalone. The ECU changes the timing advance based on EGR. And EGR is disableed at WOT anyway. I know, it looks much better. I agree.

Low pump pressure. You could be low on fluid. Is it hard to steer when it is cold?

thanks man, no its just as easy when its cold, fluid level is fine, and in regards to the EGR a SAFCII and Greddy Boost controller dont need it do they?
