Okay My coolant gauge has recently been going bonkers.:aigo: normal driving it reads fine (cold when cold. warm when warm) but when I come to a stop and idle (actually anything <1000 RPMS) it fluxuates between below 0 and the 3rd tick mark. but as soon as I get moving again. it levels out where its supposed to be. I have no idea why this would be functioning like this. anyone seen this before or any ideas...

i had a similar problem- at idle read fine, but if u touched throttle it went stupid. check the wire connection at the temp switch- in thermostat housing. it might be loose or have so gunk in there causing it not to have a good connection

it might be sensor itself. do u have any other issues with other guages? if so it might be problem with grounding

guess i Should have been more through in the beginning, i was in a rush writing the first post.

*new sensor
*No other gauges have problems
*Vacuum is fine
*No codes
*Everything else checks out fine.
