well not me. I like having the original motor in the car. Id rather tell people they got smoked by the factory engine rather say "its a mkiv motor".

The MKIV crowd doesnt give respect because 75% of the MKIIIs out there are ragged out with faded paint, busted up or worn interior, and just a lack of general care for the car. I dont think it has anything to do with the motor or drivetrain.

it's kinda hard to find an mk3 with clean interior th mkiv's have, after all these years. and it's not like we can go to the dealer and buy new interior pieces, like they can.

thee are some people out there with beautiful mk3's... we just need to get these cars out of the hands of kids who think carbon fiber stickers on the inside are cool.

There are alot of pieces available for the MKIII still. I just ordered a new console cover and other misc parts. They are not cheap but they are available.

I lost a serpentine belt 2 weeks ago. Jose and I walked right into autozone and got another. In stock. It wasn't hard or a hassle.

That seems like a set up for a joke..

There are just as many jackasses on the MK3 side that think every MKIV owner is a daddy bought the car non deserving snob. Maybe more, actually.

I don't believe that at all, but I've been around more MKIV's than I can shake a stick at, and when they ask about yuor car and you tell em you drive a MKIII...they lose interest...

Some are really cool because they're like us and do all their own work, but they're rare it seems...
