Okay, whenever I am cruising down the highway and my car is reading vacuum (aftermarket gauge btw) and I hit the throttle my gauge still reads like 2 onthe vacuum side. Now...I was wondering if its supposed to go straight to zero or if this is normal. The reason this is confusing me is that at full boost on my rebuilt ct is only reading 5 psi. Any help is always appreciated, and salty members.....feel free to flame away on this:icon_bigg

Are you sure you don't have a vacuum leak somewheres?

What mods do you have?

positive i dont have a vacuum leak, I just replaced every hose inthe car. And I just got finished with a rebuild with wiseco pistons and eagle rods, and so on.....as for power adders, I really dont have that much. I just assumed that when the throttle was put to the floor that the boost gauge would read zero and then start to build boost from there.

update....
I just checked my gauge with the engine off and it reads like 2 on the vacuum side, so does that mean that i bought a shitty gauge and my 7m is really boostin like 7lbs of boost then?

btw...thanks for the quick replies

What kind of gauge is it? I prefer autometer, they're decent for the price, and easy to get locally.
I wish I could remember, I bought it like 4 years ago when I first wanted to do the gte swap on my na, it doesnt have a name on it or anything, but I guess it will be onthe list to purchase down the road.

Thanks

Check all its connections before buying something new. My GReddy gauge partially lost its ground and had an issue with accuracy.
