My 89 has the harness and wiring for the pusher fan on the front of the condenser. It was removed by the previous owner and im adding a fan back in to help the ac out in traffic (90% of my driving conditions).
Following the diagram from the tsrm relay #2 has to be energized to allow power to flow to relay # 3.
I have a few 40 amp relays laying around and would like to combine the two relay connections in one relay and use the cars wiring with out adding my own.
My plan is to hook the relays 86 pin to the yellow and the 85 pin to the light blue/white (ac pressure switch) which will energize the relay with the other two ac fans (ac on, pressure switch activated at 220 psi). Pin 87 is the ground from the existing wiring (white/black) and pin 30 will be the light blue/red wire coming from the 40 amp (main power) fuse that also powers the other two fans (small ones next to main hydro fan).
My question is will this work adequately and safely? and if so why does the stock wiring use two relays and why is the second relay using the 7.5 amp dash lightning circuit to energize it? (The lighting circuit is the ground :aigo
Electric is not my strong point but im trying to learn it as i go/need it. Any input or criticism is appreciated. Here are the two main diagrams im using to build my plan/schematic.
edit: answered part of it.
