now i am wondering why i am getting surge so bad, i just got the synapse BoV to see if it would cut it but it is acting just like my HKS did... getting kind of frustrated and i know maybe i am just having one small detail im missing.....

i first had trouble with the vac lines being blown off, with a few zipties the hks worked pretty ok it only surged a little bit )hardly at all actually).... but the next day it didnt function the same.

so either way im thinking it just is not flowing enough air out so i buy a second blow off valve, i chose the synapse one.

it acts like the HKS when it wasnt working only the time it surges is shorter but seems to work better overall i guess...

is there something i am just looking over causing this that anyone knows of? i get surge like my bov isnt even hooked up.....

the bov is mounted right after my 90 deg off the throttle body. it surges pretty much whenever i hit boost... 1 psi 14 psi its not picky

its just weird that it worked fine then it started hardly working at all on the hks...

are you running the BOV on its own vacuum source, or is it t'd off another line

its own source off the intake manifold. the synapse also has a secondary line you T off on the primary line or whatever (kind of hard to explain that s why instructions had pictures lol) but i have tried that way and T-ing that one off (the second vac port on the bov to the p/s vac ).

i ran the HKS off the line and thats kind of where i felt it was doing a decent job but then went back to crap surging every time

ok i talked to the synapse guy and there is an extra port for if you are boosting more than 7 psi, appearently i had an outdated manual that said it was unused and he linked me the updated manual. i needed to feed that to a pre throttle plate boost source and wow the difference was night and day, i still have a split second surge between shifts at above 10 lbs but the bov seemed to help a ton
