Hey guys, just finish my motor build, and i'm on the q45tb with the stock tps and a tps adapter.

Now my problem is when i give the car gas slowly, around 1600rpm, the car bucks really bad and it seems like it just doesn't go anywhere, untill i press the gas even harder and it begins to move again.
Also, if i hold the gas at any rpm for a long time, the rpm's start to vary, up and down up and down.
Checked for codes, and its throwing a code 41, sometimes 52.
Now my tps worked before the new motor, but i did install it in another car, and it wouldn't start, the car probably had other problem, but i removed the tps from the car, and just kept it until it was time for the new motor, and when installed, it now shows a code 41 and 52 sometimes.
The tsrm called for minimum .2 ohms at close, and mine is at .1 between e2 and vta (i believe those were the terminals).

I just wanted to know if the bucking, and the rpm changes are a common sign of a dead tps?

i tested 2 tps sensors, and they were both bang on to tsrm.
One of them was the one currently on the car, which is giving me problems.

Also, my other friend said to move the afm sensor further away from the turbo.
Right now it is about 10 inches away, and he said the sensor might be getting a proper reading.

i'm on the stock afm, stock fuel (dual feed rail, aeromotive fpr) stock pump.
I'm also on a gt76dbb turbo, if that helps

Even if the TPS checks out off the car, it doesn't necessarily mean it's good.

A bad TPS has a tendency to work ok untill they get hot from the engine heat, and then go haywire.

Test it on the car with the engine at running temp.

ok will do, i'm debating to switch to the q45tps because it came with the tb as well.
I drove the car around today, it seems like partial throttle the car bucks, but when i put some load on the motor with some boost, it runs fine.
Also, when i come to a stop, the idles drop a little.
I'm venting my bov, i wonder if i tighten it, that will help.
any suggestions?

also, i wonder if it has anything to do with my tps adapter.
I used a mk4 tps adapter kit, and drilled two new holes to work with the 7m tps.
Now when i installed it, the pins on the adapter are just touching the tabs on the tps.
These seems like the most logical way to install it.
Sometimes i notice at partial throttle, my boost gauge goes to zero which it should, but the car isn't pulling, and if i press down a little harder on the gas, it picks back up.
I hope this is all tps related.

problem resolved.

Just have the code 52 now.
The rear knock sensor is loose, i'm pretty sure that is the reasoning.
gonna retighten it and i'll post back the results
