first of all...whats the reason you are asking this question?

If you are trying to adjust the clutch then this question has nothing to do with adjustment....sounds like your on the way to FAIL....FAIL is bad

Not trying to adjust the clutch The car will not go into gear when the car is running, so I bled the clutch. I removed the inspection cover to see if there was any clutch parts there, there was not,the rod moves about 2 inches. If you shut off the car and put it in gear then start it it makes some grinding sounds and the car lurches starting to sound like some new clutch related parts.. Barry

Sounds like the central hub/throwout bearing assembly has failed.

If the assembly is not put together EXACTLY the way it should be, it will fail like that...

Need pics to see...
