Hey guys, I've done a ton of looking on this subject and haven't found anything that helps... I just put a brand new clutch in my supra, because my old disc was down to the rivets, I got a RPS 6 Puck Disc and PP, and a brand new Fidanza flywheel. I also intalled a brand new slave cylinder while I was at it.I put everything in, and it grabbed fine it just engaged kinda wierd, it kinda hops a little. I did some reading and realized I had WAY too much freeplay in my pedal, so I adjusted it and now it engages better, but it still does not grab until I have almost completely let the pedal out. I've driven a stock supra owned by a guy I work with... and his starts engaging about half way out. Can someone please help me figure out whats wrong, I've talked to the service guys and they have not been much help.
Thanks
Brendan

You didn't put the TO bearing in backwards did you? The snap ring should be on the outside of the PP, so that it is visable with inspection plate off. Thats what I did and my clutch was fine for 5,000 miles, then ppppppppphhhhhhhhhhhhhbbbbbbbbbtttttttt.

1. rebleed everything

2. you can adjust the friction point where ever you like- screw the master piston in/out.

I checked the TSRM it doesn't say where you can adjust the master Cyl. Piston, are you talking about the push rod on the clutch pedal??? I think we're on the right track here, just give me some clarity.
Thanks

How did it feel during that time?
It had a little free play but felt like it grabbed a little late. I attributed it just to using a different set up, but I soon found out that it was wrong.

yep, you can adjust the pedal height and the engagement point. the pushrod on the master cylinder has that end piece where you put the pin through on the pedal. that end piece is threaded, you can play with it so it engages at the top, or at the bottom. MAKE SURE that when it's all done there's freeplay in the pedal at the top (before you push it). If it's stiff right when you put your foot on the pedal then it's not adjusted right and the clutch isn't full engaged. Once it's broken in you might have to adjust it again.

Good luck

Ive messed with the freeplay and it doesn't seem to help, is there something seperate that controls the engagement point, or is it all tied together, because what you just described to me is the same thing you do to adjust the freeplay.
