I just put in my Spec Stage 1 clutch and this thing gives me clutch chatter like a freakin beyotch in first. Last night when I took it on it's maiden driven I STALLED the freaking car. I haven't done that in atleast 5 years.

I know you can get it to go away by adjusting the way you drive, but it's sooooooooo freaking hard, haha. I was just wondering how many of you out there run into clutch chatter and if it goes away any when the clutch is broken in.

Also, I searched and have been reading about it here and other places, just kind of wanted to make a thread that was easier to find for the searchers too :naughty:

If the disc doesn't have Marcels (wave washer between the friction surfaces) it's chatter, this will settle a bit as you adapt to it and it breaks in!

My OS Giken is a Solid centre Ceramic Twin and chatters like a bastard but now I drive around it and it's not too bad!

haha, good to know! I guess I'll just have to keep driving and adjusting. But it's so embarassing when you have a couple of hot girls pull up and notice you're in a Supra...and then you drive away bucking like crazy, haha

If it does have the spring, the disc is slightly warped. That can happen easily during installation if you are not lined up perfect before trying to stab the trans.
