Hey all, just curious what concoctions people have devised to tackle rust on solid steel parts.
I have found that penetrating oil left to sit for a period of time depending on thickness followed by a salt and vinegar bath and a toaster baking works pretty awesome!
The neutralizer is a purified water and baking soda solution whan all done.
The rust melts away pretty much.
I obviously do not have access to a blaster...:(

The rust is softr than the steel, it basically turns the rust to goo leaving the pure steel almost totally rust free. Of course some wire brushing is needed to speed the process every two hours but here are my results in one day.
For some reason I cant get the final pic to load on my phone or com??? :(
