Cars Running High Temperature

After Oil Change, still running high, right off the bat, what is most likely the next 3 things i should do.

Have you checked out your cooling system?
Any air in it (ie: waterfall sound from behind the dash when you start it up)?
Is coolant getting blown out of the overflow bottle?
Try replacing the radiator cap (they're dirt cheap).
Try replacing the thermostat (they're also cheap).
Does your radiator still have its fan shroud?

the waterfall / gurgling sound, doesnt that mean your head gasket is blown?

No, it means your cooling system has air in it, burp it
