does anyone know a good way to repair a carbon fiber lip?
i finally installed my CFX lip almost 3 years later, and i went to turn around in a driveway to find a nasty dip in the road. chipped off a small piece of it and some carbon fiber fabric is sticking out. the damage isnt structural, more cosmetic than anything. it didnt go all the way through, but there is a little crack on the inside of lip.
ill post some picks over the weekend if i cant figure this out.
anyone have any ideas?
thanks

i dont want to paint it. its a weird piece that broke. the carbon fiber fabric is still there. i bought some epoxy today. do you think if i cleaned it up and applied some epoxy, then sanded down and applied another coat would it look the same? i should probably clearcoat it afterwards.

If the fabric is still there and intact (which is really odd btw) then epoxy that shit and sand it down. But if the CF is all messed up, then grab some CF and glue it from behind the lip and make it flush with the outside. Use a soaked piece of CF fabric with doing this in a tacky state, so you can work with it, but it also stays in place when you find it to be closest. Also, remember that this is going to be messy and you dont want to get that epoxy on the rest of the lip. So mask everything real well. It hard to explain how to repair it without seeing your damage let alone have to type it up on the forums. Good luck.
